Revised Burnley Method of Tree Valuation Online Calculator

As a consulting arborist often we are asked or required to value trees. This article is about using the Revised Burnley method, a pdf is available which discusses the methodolgy from which the calculator was built.

In brief the formula calculates the volume of a tree as a cone, and multiplies out that cubic measure with a base price per cubic metre from nurseries. A reduction in the value of the tree is made to compensate for expected life span, condition and location.

The methodology avoids the subjective concerns of historical, amenity, habitat value etc but offers a simple fast solution to tree valuation which has been tested in Australian Courts.
